Prior to the game yesterday I saw a piece on WDSU talking about how the school had a representative on each of the final 4 teams:

Trae Turner- Carolina
Lorenzo Doss - Broncos
Tyrann Mathieu- Cards
Harold Nash- Coaching for NE

Amazing. I looked at Pro Football Reference to see if any other local school had done that, and not once has that happened before. I thought for sure Curtis, or Newman would have done it before, but neither have.

Amazing. Heck with this team needing to draft ____ from LSU or the SEC (as we have seen people pounding for), this team needs to scout St. Augustine High School.

I remember the 1st time the black Catholic schools were allowed to play the white Catholic schools in NO. We played St Aug in the 3rd game of the season. We got beat by 50 points and we had a pretty good team. Next day, I brought my uniform to coach to resign. I wasn't good enough to be the Water Boy on St. Aug. They were amazing to watch except when a guard dunked right over me - multiple times. Their talent was unreal and they were real humble about their greatness.

I thought for sure Curtis, or Newman would have done it before, but neither have.

Outside of Archie Manning and Odell Beckham Sr. happening to send their kids there, the Newman football program isn't exactly known as a factory for football players.

Cooper would have to be in the NFL and Eli and OBJ would have to be on different teams.
