Nader takes steps towards another White House bid

Nader is taking steps toward another White House bid.
WASHINGTON (CNN) – Ralph Nader, the longtime consumer advocate who was blamed by many Democrats for Al Gore’s loss in the 2000 presidential election, launched an exploratory committee Wednesday for another White House bid, and told CNN he is likely to get in the race if he can put the resources in place.

I would consider him only if Clinton gets the nod.

>>That almost makes me feel less bad about voting for Bush in 2000.

:nono: That's on you. Nader in 1996 was a different beast. My alternatives were Clinton or Dole. No. I went Green Party. Nader's '96 campaign was one that I mostly agreed with. And certainly, I can say I was voting for ay-rab Americans before it was cool to do so :covri:

My girlfriend once voted for Nader. We don't speak of that anymore, but sometimes it keeps me up at night.

I probably comes as no surprise to most of you, but I like Nader. Sure, he can be what is considered extreme in some of his talking points, but he was saying more things of REAL importance that we needed to focus on than anyone else.

I voted for him in 2000. Between Dubya and Gore, I would have pulled the lever for Beetlejuice if he were on the ballot.

Unless it's Clinton/Romney, I can't see supporting him this time around.

Too bad Harry Browne kicked.

If that lasts for more than four hours, make sure to call your doctor.

I agree, if it's Clinton/Romney I vote independent or not at all. Please give us at least McCain/Obama, although I'd rather Huckabee.
