We were consistently named one of the top destinations in the last 15 years of the Drew Brees era. Until we get another elite QB look for free agents to look elsewhere.

Separately, I'm not terribly disappointed that we didn't get OBJ. I think he would have been a locker room problem just like he has been in his first two NFL stops.

We'll be fine. Players see the locker room we have and want to be a part of it. If we had a healthy Winston, I think OBJ signs with us. Sieman or Hill is a hard sell for a FA trying to rehab his career/value.

Meh, locker room would have been fine with our vets and current leadership. Worst case it could have been at least an 8 game rental if he didn't break the bank for one year.

We desperately need someone who can get separation and catch the ball, still do after today's news...

Speaking of hard cap, it will continue to be hard to sign free agents when over 20% of your cap space is dead.

How many times did we hear FA's say they came here because of Drew Brees. Elite QB's attract free agents.

The first requirement to being a landing spot is to even express interest and willingness to pay. We went for decades without being in that catagory at all except for over the hill guys we would try to fill seats by signing. We still have a coach that guys love to play for and we have great facilities and an owner that will pay. We are exactly what we need to be in this regard. Our philosophy will never be to over pay guys so we won’t land them all but that means they were likely not good value if the price goes too high. In the age of salary cap it’s not about how many high dólar guys you get in but how much bang you get for your bucks across the board.

For every one of those (and I wouldn't call any of those "big name signings")...there's Clowney rejecting us, Suh rejecting us, OBJ rejecting us...
