New Era for free agents to Nola (2 Viewers)

Players follow the money still, if OBJ truly wanted to win a SB he would have signed with the Packers. The Rams offered him the most earning potential. Remember he is 29 and has been often injured in recent seasons.

It's fine if you are not a fan of Jameis but before last week's loss we were in a position be win the division. I'm not saying I expected us to win the super bowl but we were a legit playoff contender. You may want to question his accuracy ( the turnover question has been put to rest) but he has one of the best deep balls in the league and he has the highest ceiling of any QB currently on this roster. I'm not saying he was a top 5 QB but he was making progress in the right direction with a depleted WR group.
You’ve literally just agreed with my post.

We were consistently named one of the top destinations in the last 15 years of the Drew Brees era. Until we get another elite QB look for free agents to look elsewhere.

Separately, I'm not terribly disappointed that we didn't get OBJ. I think he would have been a locker room problem just like he has been in his first two NFL stops.
I'm right there with you on OBJ. Not a fan, but he's definitely an upgrade over what we've got, and for 1/2 a season I wasn't opposed to seeing how things turned out with him in B&G. OTOH, it was a circus before he even got here, so it probably would've been more of the same.

He was in a deep WR room with the Giants and became disgruntled enough that they traded him and ate a big chunk of dead money. He was in a crowded WR room with the Browns and became disgruntled enough for them to waive him. Says he wants more touches. So he's going to a Rams team with a deep WR room, to fill the role of a recently released WR who wasn't happy about his lack of touches. Anyone wanna guess the next chapter of this story?

Sometimes the best deals are the ones you didn't make. It might suck for the next 9 games, but this is probably one of those times...
