I can't even begin to answer for the Manning hating guy, but the Blackngold guy is a Patriots fan. Hence the hate for the Dolphins old head coach.

Manning, in lieu of paying his property taxes in NO, made donations to the city assessor's office. This is not disputed. Essentially, Manning ripped the city off for who knows how many thousands of dollars for who knows how many years. He wasn't the only rich scumbag to do this, but he is the one who portrays himself as Saint Awchie, a person who really cares about the city. He is a parasite who has made his living off the people of NO. When I see the state of disrepair in my city, I cannot help but think how much better things could be if we didn't have cretins like this stealing from the public. So I have no irrational, unfounded dislike of him; unlike others, who do have an irrational, unsubstantiated belief that Manning was a 'great' NFL qb and really a nice aww shucks kind of guy. THAT is the distortion, not mine.

So question, did he not pay any property taxes at all or did he merely get the assessor to lower his assessment?

Of course he paid SOME tax. He just paid MUCH less because of his friendly donation. This does not make feel one iota better about the scumbag.
