Maybe half-jokingly but I did get a tinge of that quote coming across with some seriousness as if he's sort of suggesting: "Stay here, we'll try and pay you more then or close to what their offering and you'll have an easier time next season winning as an OC then struggling to build a contender on a new team that may not go anywhere" or "If you want to be a future NFL HC, stay here in Philly one more year and see what happens and maybe a better more talented, depth-laden team will hire you" sorts of vibes.

FWIW, it's amazing how as one gets older, you realize how friends, colleagues, bosses, or family members try to relay or attempt to coax you under guises of uncomfortable 'jokes", " puns", or "ribs" and pretend their not being serious when they totally are. Comedians and satirists usually get away with saying the harshest, critical, and most brutal forms of social commentary and by no means is most of it meant to be funny or entertaining, and I realize that its sort of expected and been that way since ancient Bronze Age palace fools were allowed to be one of few members of royal court permitted to mock kings or emperors (within certain agreed limitations), it's just would be nice if Congressman or senators were allowed to be 40% as honest or candid even if their observations weren't always 100% accurate.

Monken and Kafka are the higest paid OCs and they make 3 mil a yr. Even if they would pay KM 4 mil a yr he'd more than likely more than double that with the Saints
And he's running Sirianni's offense with his own twist. KM wants to run the show
