Nick Wright On The Saints Salary Cap (3 Viewers)

5:00 mark
Nick Wright’s more in depth interview with Cowherd.

There have been a lot of folks in the media who question the Saints cap management practices. It all really escalated when Loomis started dropping voidable years into contracts as a means to just spread out the cap hit on deals.

Though it’s a confusing labyrinth of never ending restructures and bonus conversions - it’s still within the rules and until the league changes how they regulate contracts - Loomis is going to keep using this system of perpetually signing, restructuring and voidable year voodoo.

Most of the other fan bases think it’s funny how Loomis keeps kicking the can and it never seems to tumble into the gutter.

I was checking out a thread after the Carr signing and almost all the comments were about Loomis’ cap management voodoo.

Nick Wright is a hater. He’s always been a hater. He’s also a sanctimonious turd. Listening to him speak is like nails on a chalkboard.

Yep…they have been crushing us for almost a decade now, predicting our doom not realizing that we are playing 4-D chess in New Orleans.

I mean, why must we go through this educational exercise every…single…season? 😂

Loud and uninformed makes $ I guess.

Jason Mcintyre was trying to challenge Cowherd on the idea of Carr’s move to the Saints being a good one. McIntyre said Cam Jordan is a free agent (he’s not) and Lattimore is a potential cap casualty (he literally can’t be).

It’s getting beyond weird now how many talking heads are hating on our cap situation while demonstrating that they have absolutely no clue what they’re talking about when it comes to football economics or the status of players on our payroll.

Not that it matters but where is the cap right now after signing Carr? What do they have to work with to sign Free agents? I am assuming they will be freeing more cap when they drop Winston but they may have more work to do yet.

Two days ago he was wishing Carr would be a Jet.
And 3 years ago he was turning tricks in a greyhound station in Lubbock, TX, going by the name of Whisper.

sheet, his research must have been conducted by the research team at Bishop Sycamore.

Jason McIntyre is a clown and Cowherd is like a big time Saints backer now. McIntyre has NO CLUE about the Saints roster at all. How can you spout off like this and not even know the players who are free agents. Cowherd said that CSP and Loomis had ZERO disagreements about personnel during their time together. Cowherd also thinks the Saints are looking at maybe being the #2 or #3 seed in the NFC and he puts their Over/Under win total at 10.0 or 10.5 and he wanted to take the Over.

Great video example of somebody who has no clue and who has some clue.

After adding Carr, we are estimated to be $25 million over the cap. We have about a week to get under it, so expect a flurry of moves any day now, to not only get us under, but to also give us operating space for more free agents, and eventually, the draft class.

Jordan and Lattimore’s restructures are pretty much required/mandatory at this stage with where we’re at, and something will likely get done with Jameis and MT’s situations, among others.
