You don't draft a backup fullback in the 5th round when you need other things a lot more.

I think Hester should be omitted from this list, serriously :homer:ism is the only reason he is getting votes, we have Carney and he wouldn't even make this team..... seriously

Jeremy Lemen >>>>>> Jacob Hester.

Steve Slaton is a great player and in my mind BPA by far here. I'd take him. He is our explosive returner too. He could switch to WR but would not be our long term Deuce replacement though.
Still give him the ball and he makes plays

Honestly, I don't know enough about the majority of those guys, but when I saw Slaton, I figured he was not only BPA, but too good to pass up given the DOOOOCE situation.

A FS/SS/TE would really be what I'd go after in that round, but I just don't know enough about them.

What would Slaton's role be on the team? What would Hester's role be on this team? Vote wisely.

Jake Ikwegwuono, CB Wisconsin Pro Football Weekly had him rated I think as the 6th rated CB but say he will be underdrafted because of and injury concern. He would be a steal in the 5th round. He should have gone in the 3rd at the latest.

Slaton would be a slot receiver in some situations, a deep threat, a big play running back which we used PT for at times last year, and a kick/punt returner.
He would also take Reggie's place in those 'suicide'(as some referred to them) swing passes and screens when he puts his body on the line for yardage. We cannot risk Reggie there if he is our featured running back.

More of a situational player but very good skill set and a bargain there.

You asked, we answered. KR/PR would be a start considering we do need a Returner. If anything, trade bait (for whatever it would be worth).

Steve Slaton is good value here. Much more then Jacob Hester. Taking him in the 5th is just laughable.

I know we said we'd be democratic, but can't we build in a "homer deviation" of say, 30% for any LSU player votes? So if Slaton or Lichtensteiger is a few votes off, we can invoke the "homer discount"?
