I'm for keeping Dennis Allen one more year

This is perfect for Loomis to clear up as much cap space as possible and take the hit in 2024.

Two scenarios

Dennis Allen would have to play with his hands tied behind his back and go with young cheap players .
If he happens to field good team with the salary cap issue, then fine.
Plus we still have to pay Derek Carr another year.


2nd scenario we power through 2024 with a bad record, but we clear up the salary cap, get rid of DA, and have a high draft pick in 2025

Better to get a new quality coach with a healthy salary cap and a high draft pick

Ridiculous, Keeping DA would demoralize the team and the fan base for 3 yrs in a row. It would stunt the development of our younger players because EVERY player has regressed under DA. Whoever we draft this yr may not be te right players for the vision the next HC has. AND and this is big, we'd loose out on a shot at a very good HC candidate in Ben Johnson because he will be a HC next season and if we stick with DA we will be passing up on him

I'm not saying that Carr is a franchise elite QB but it's truly ridiculous and lazy to say he's a idiot. Because DC HAS proven that with good coaching he can be a good QB. That is undeniable. He can be every bit as good as 120 QBs that have made it to the SB . He is very much in the same situation that Goff was in before Johnson in Det. got a hold of him.
