In some people’s eyes, anything bad that’s happened with this organization in the past 20 years is all because of Mickey Loomis, anything good was because of someone else whose coattail he was riding. There’s no in-between.

I don't knwo that it's giving him a pass more so than providing context. If Loomis was making all the decisions and taking final say you'd absolutely dump those failed issues all on him, but if it's a collaborative effort then it means it's a shared responsibility. Meaning they share when things are right, and they share when things go wrong.

DA takes part of the blame if those are the guys he chose. You can't force people to blame one person in a two people effort lol. It's like you're confusing people taking that into context w/ them absolving Loomis of ALL responsibility.

I don't think anyone on this board thinks Mickey's hands are clean in any way, were just acknowledging he had accomplices in making the mess.

I never said that the decisions should be made by Loomis. The context I provided was that of Loomis being in charge of creating the system that MJ in Calif claimed was "ML does not make decisions on drafts, FAs, and assistant coaches. All of that is under the HC in the Saints organization." Loomis has to own that part of it. If DA was terrible at player evaluations, then why did Loomis give him that power? Why didn't he lean more on scouts. It is his job to manage the process and change it when it's not working. I don't want Loomis giving a new coach everything he wants either if the consequences are a league low number of draft choices over the next 5 years, having an expensive aging roster and no cap space.

We need more than that, we slacking. The Saints fans need to do more like not show up to games and stop buying merch until he is gone.

Yikes, I'm never in favor of calling people who make more money than me stupid...it's hard to do that if you're even an ounce of stupid. Bad decisoins sure, stupidity...mmmmmhhh
