Looks like Rahm & Schauffele are separating themselves from the rest of the pack. After 3 holes they are both at 15-under par. Rory & Scottie are missing some makeable putts.

There’s lots of holes left to determine the medals, but unless someone gets really hot down the stretch, the only medal left to fight for may be the bronze.

Edit: Our two leaders are now at 16-under and are just shifting into another gear.

Scheffler just had one of the cruelest lip-out putts I’ve ever seen while trying to get to 4-under for the day. His golfball did a 180 and came right back to him without falling in. He knows how badly he needed that birdie to keep up with the leaders.

So far it still looks like a two man race for the golf and silver medals.

Jon Rahm has decided that he wants the gold medal and is just going to birdie every hole. He’s now at 17-under and he is making all the shots and putts. He’s locked in today. That’s how you win these prestigious events.

I've seen Femke do that in other races earlier this year. Unreal strength last 100 meters.

I keep watching that finish
At first I was obviously looking at it through a US lens and of course any sentient being’s natural distaste of the Dutch, but dang if that isn’t one of the most impressive finishes ever (regardless of the sport)
It’s like she hits her high gear to go from 4th to 2nd and then just manufactures a brand new gear

I don’t want her to the 400, but I’ll definitely be watching

All the Olympic men golfers are now on the course on the final round of competition. So far Scottie Scheffler is making the biggest move up the leaderboard having birdied all three of the holes that he’s played. Since no one has run away with a big lead, this may end up being an exciting finish later this morning.

I need to petition Scheffler and Schauffle to remain away from each other on the leaderboard until I am completely able to tell their names apart. I'm getting there but they are ALWAYS TOGETHER.

Carlisle has had 5 break opportunities and finally Djoker prevails

tbh, this match is doing a lot to thaw my enmity towards Djoker - the respect he has for Carlos is obvious and he can’t help but laugh at the shots the kid is making (but he’s hanging tough obviously)

I don't know how far back she was; but watching in real time, I was only screaming about watching out for who was in 2nd and 3rd.

So far today is looking like it may not turn out to be such a good track and field day for the US.
