Olympics Paris 2024 (6 Viewers)

Girls would have won easily if they had Caitlin Clark
This is me speaking as a Clark fan...

I wouldn't say that. I would say that they were missing a shot maker for much of the game. But that could have been as much because of France's suffocating defense as anything else. They played their best game and the US really didn't play all that well.

Regardless, team USA won gold, and that's all that matters at this point. Next Olympics, I'm sure Clark will get her chance.

The ladies from France played a great game.
They did. Played their best game in the final game. USA, didn't play well. Turned the ball over a ton and missed a lot of shots. That said, they stuck with it in the 3rd quarter and never let the game get away from them.

Team USA shorten their rotations and that put sooo much on the starters that didn't play their best game. In particular Taurasi and Griner could have played a settling role early in the 1st half but BG saw limited time and Diana saw zero. Sabrina Lonescu had a disappointing Olympic run, I expected more from the Queen of 3's.

Yeah, I agree. The rotations and who was on the floor at a given time was a bit of a head scratcher. Not sure why neither Taurasi and Griner saw action. Young had a terrible game and as you said, Ionescu was pretty invisible.

The team was turning the ball over and had zero rhythm. While the team won, that game was hard to watch tbh.

You couldn't be as close as France was to keeping that game going. That French player has to be heart-broken.

And apparently, the medal count is now complete and China and USA finished tied for most Golds. Of course the US finished way ahead in the overall medal count.

Pretty solid Olympics. Lots of memorable moments and a few not so memorable ones. Track and Field and swimming were super strong. Volleyball for both men and women was largely disappointing. Gymnastics was pretty good, but could have been better.

So who's our MVP? I'm picking either A'ja or Breanna.

Man, France still looks devastated.

It's amazing that until the past decade or so, American athletes were taxed for their medals. Just crazy.
