the best part is this guy knew how much these posters go for and was trying to get you to give him one for free signatures LOL

dont worry fwaokda buddy tomorrow im dedicating ALL DAY to checking with online printing places and just basically making sure again and again that everyone is going to get the most quality with the littlest amount of money. you WILL get a poster. i promise

ok sent you an email. was gonna try to do the same thing by doing high res pics then merging them in photoshop. this is much easier solution. been wanting another one for years. bought an orignal for 350 bucks on ebay years ago. Was destroyed by a hostile ex. If ida killed her, i think the judge woulda let me off.

OK GUYS. LOOKING LIKE ITS GOING TO BE 50-60.

i feel as if i could teach a class on ink and photo paper now. our prints will be the same exact size as the original: 24 x 34.83. a lot of people think its 24 x 36 but this is not so. so if you own a print from the first run it might be a tad bigger but i swear on everything that 24 x 34.83 is the ACTUAL size of original.

2nd, nothing will be cropped. full bleed all the way to the edges just like the original

and finally.. everyone messaging me worried about grainyness or flimsy paper i assure you i know what i am doing. the prints will be produced on the highest quality photo paper available: 200 year archival rating, satin finish (best hybrid of gloss and matte), 9.1 mil thick (that's thick.. mmm.. meaty). Pigment based ink (vs dye based) - for superior color vibrancy and durability.

I just want to say thanks Scott for all the work you have put into this. Having this poster again will be unbelievable. I had an original hanging on my wall back in the day and because I was a stupid kid I just threw it away not knowing what it would mean to me one day. Now thanks to your hard work I get enjoy it again.

the pleasure is all mine you guys. i went ahead and ordered a print from the people we are going to get ours from and got it overnighted to me so tomorrow what ill do is give you guys a full blown review of what i think of the print and take several shots from different angles and positions. i think this makes the most sense to do before we order literally 31

i talked to a guy over in the UK. In 24 hours, he will have a revised proof. There was some white specs and such around the top of the poster, some small areas of white dots and some of the blacks were not as dark as they should be due to probably the faded paint of the age of the poster or an error in the scan. with that said, even if i wouldnt have done this remaster the proof i was going to use would have still be a solid 9.8 out of 10. but now, with these upgrades to the proof i believe you will not be able to tell at all between the original and a copy. this has me very excited and everyones print(s) will reflect the upgraded proof. Tomorrow I will make one comparitive file. A Before (the proof I used to get a sample poster right just to make sure these people are on their A-game) and an After (the final proof that is spruced up and refinished that I will be using for the mass print).

for real, yall need to stop fighting about this crap. its making me regret that i even loaned my original out to be scanned. nobody should be marking up the price of a COPY at all, its bad enough that the price is over 200 bucks for an original these days. if the print shop charges 20-30 bucks a copy, and its costing someone 5 bucks for a poster tube and a few bucks to ship it, then thats pretty much all they should be able to ask anyone to pay them. 50 bucks sounds about right after having to put in that much work for people to get a copy of what was the holy grail of saints posters.

im basically making my original less valuable by allowing it to be copied, and people are arguing over how much a FAKE one should be worth? seriously?

optimus, not that at all man. just ran across his on ebay, and at an original's price (200 bucks).. and its a fake. no where on the ad does he mention that its a reproduction, only that its printed on photo paper. i just think its sick to ask that much for a repoduction and not even say so. i can see taking a few bucks for your time.. but that is borderline criminal. us real fans that want one appreciate what you and scott have done to make it to where we can actually get and afford one.
