you missed the whole point....FA doesnt have to start in order for "speculation" to...reporters dont always report fact, they report rumor to....the Saints have never been big players in free agency though, so that really kinda just proves my point even more...cause the teams that are big player or active...always have there name attached to some type of "speculation".

You said that if they were looking at them you'd of heard speculation. Theres been plenty of speculation in the media about us getting Trufant or Williams. Then you used ZT as an example. We only heard about him after Loomis scheduled a visit with him. Its different.

Its very likely we were targeting Williams if he would of hit the market. Espeically considering we've heard first hand that Loomis and Payton want Ellis. We are going to improve the DT position somehow this year.

I havent heard any news about the Saints going after Trufant or Williams, just on this board, I stay on ESPN, NFL Network and all the football sites, they dont tie neither of them guys in with the Saints, sure they would fill a need which only makes sense that we would go after them, but that doesnt mean the Saints are after him....I seen it reported on ESPN, NFL Network etc, that the Saints were looking at ZT along with Loomis confirming it, cant say the same for any other player....aside from the Gramatica signing.


why do you think we havent cut ties with guys we dont plan on bringing back? most other teams have...you know why we havent?....cause were probably not gonna draw any significant talent through FA so we might have to resign our stop gap players....dont wanna burn no bridges.
