True, I have a party to got to, but I got the horned helmet thing worked out. I'm strapping my giant Texas Longhorn hood ornament to my head.

Seriously though, that's a fun looking bunch. It's my opinion that not having the following photo (thanks SoonerJim) front and center on Alaska's Dept of Tourism's website is the best evidence yet of Palin's failure as a governor.

I think the Palin pick could have significance in Colorado, where it could drive the large Evangelical population to the polls. She also has that everyman/woman appeal, which will play well in the heartland. McCain doesn't need help in most of the west, but Colorado is a major battleground. It could also give him an edge in Missouri. Outside of those states, I don't see where she is really going to give him an advantage.
