Panthers CB1 Jaycee Horn Out vs Saints and will miss multiple weeks to hamstring injury (3 Viewers)

They could put three scarecrows out there to defend our receivers. What will it matter with our Oline? Everyone wants to attack Penning, rightfully so he was terrible, but just about everyone stunk up the joint not named Ryan Ramczyk.

Terrible news...

Exactly!!!! The Panthers will blitz us just like they did last season. The Offensive line has to play better on Monday Night or it can get ugly.

You want to know how big of a hit this is?

Ridder had 115 passing yards on Sunday. 91 of those yards came in the second half when Horn was out. That's 79% of his passing yards. And this is a game that was tied 10-10 going into the 4th.
Yeah he probably plays a role like Lattimore that frees up other guys. But now they have time to prepare. We have the advantage if we don’t underestimate them. But they can play for sure

The one thing we have this year to counter their blitzing is Carr. He will be able to utilize his experience to exploit the Panthers if they try to blitz too much IMO. Mike Thomas and Johnson could have big days on Monday!

Agreed. While their front can still give us fits. It definitely will not be as ugly offensively as it was last year at Carolina. Not with Carr at the helm.

Yes need to solid crossing patterns to help our offensive line.

The Panthers know how to play us...they bring pressure almost every time we line up in a tight set. In general NFCS teams know how to play us...hope we bring something different to the table this time.

Carr played them 3 years ago and played pretty well there. Also, all 4 of Carolina's sacks came in the first half. They didn't get to Ridder in the second half.

This is a NFC South game. No game is a gimmee when they play each other. The odds maybe in our favor but don't expect a rollover from the Panthers. Saints will have to play well and hide Penning the best way they can. Or, he starts playing like an NFL player that was drafted to protect a 4 year, 150 Million QB Asset

This is undoubtedly their second biggest defensive loss. Only think that would hurt more is losing Burns. Will be a big advantage to the Saints.
Derrick Brown played well last year (#8 at his position out of 64 starters) and just moved from interior to outside rusher, where he could face... you guessed it... Penning.

The bright side is if we double-team Brown then the other guys in their front are not so good. Our 2022 backup Shy Tuttle is their 2023 starter.
