Panthers CB1 Jaycee Horn Out vs Saints and will miss multiple weeks to hamstring injury (2 Viewers)

Derrick Brown played well last year (#8 at his position out of 64 starters) and just moved from interior to outside rusher, where he could face... you guessed it... Penning.

The bright side is if we double-team Brown then the other guys in their front are not so good. Our 2022 backup Shy Tuttle is their 2023 starter.
It's not going to be that simple. They move Burns everywhere. You can bet Burns will be lining up on at least 40-50% of his snaps on Penning's side on Monday night.

We have plenty of weapons on offense that I wouldn't have been worried about him anyway.

We seriously owe these guys a beating. They won both games last year by doing nothing on offense but our offense topped that by doing LITERALLY nothing.

We have to send a message to them and the nation our team is legit. There won't be overlooking by us either cause we barely won our first. There so much for us to correct that I think we'll be focused to do so.

I hope...lol

Atlanta flat out ran over the Panthers. I expect a heavy dose of Jamaal Williams and maybe even some Taysom qb power.
Atlanta's got a serious running game (and I don't mean just Bijan). But that's all they have offensively. They cannot throw the ball.

They could put three scarecrows out there to defend our receivers. What will it matter with our Oline? Everyone wants to attack Penning, rightfully so he was terrible, but just about everyone stunk up the joint not named Ryan Ramczyk.

Everyone is hating on the O-line, but how often has the O-line not played well to start the season? Seems like almost every year under Payton.

This. And people seem to be ignore that they were going up against a DLine that's arguably a lot better than Carolina's own. Even tougher is that your LT is basically a rookie getting his first real start out there.

I think we'll see a lot of growth over the next few games, imo.

That's not relevant. Sean's not here and the O-line was absolutely pitiful. Those are the facts we have after game 1. I'm not saying they can't turn it around, but that's all we have to go off of. Last year, Carolina abused our offense because of it and I'm not sure what Payton's slow starts historically mean for this team. It's 100% a concern.

Tough loss for them. Hate for any player to get hurt, but as we all know though, injuries are a part of the game, and hopefully we can take advantage of his absence on Monday.

Olave, MT, and Sheed will match up with Donte Jackson, Jeremy Chinn, and CJ Henderson. It should be another big week for the big 3. This is Jaycee Horn’s 3rd straight year in 3 seasons of missing games to injury.
