I broke down my best bet for all 16 Week 1 games in this week's edition of the "Road to 272 Bets", including my pick for Panthers vs. Saints:

I feel the same way about both of these teams as I did when they were last on the field nine months ago.

The Saints once again look like a solid team on paper, but can they deliver on the field?

Meanwhile, the Panthers may just be the worst team in the NFL again in 2024.

Until I see significant improvement from Bryce Young, I can't justify betting on them as just four-point underdogs on the road.

I'll take the Saints to win and cover and hope they can start living up to their potential.

I am very curious about this game. On paper, we should be fine. If this game starts off slow for the Saints, I'm guessing the boo birds will be out. I hope the offense can show us some things. I believe they deserve time to gel, but I know they won't get much time.
 
Brian Burns is a NY Giant. TP is happy he doesn’t have to face him. He was a legit disruptive force that had to be schemed, I don’t know if they have as solid as a front 7 this year.
 
My main concern about this game is what follows it, a tough schedule. If the Saints lose it, it will be difficult to bounce back. And, the humiliation of losing at home to last year’s worst team could be pretty devastating.

I hope the team doesn’t look at it that way in a sense. It’s always better to think week by week and game by game.
 
Bryce Youmg was horrible last season and I don’t know how he could’ve improved in the offseason. At his best he would be a good player to run the scout team. If Saints lose it will be a long season.

I don't recall ever seeing a number on this icon.

All I know is that if the Saints allow Bryce Young to run around scrambling and getting first downs with his feet, I'm going to be highly upset!!!
