He only played 10 snaps on offense, I sure hope he didn't injured after playing so little. Ivory is an energizer for our team, guy like him can make a big play from anywhere on the field.

I just re-watched his last two carries. The run before his last one looks like he may have gotten his right ankle caught between two players on the way to the ground, but he did stay in for the next play and was able to still run hard. His last play was around 9min left in the 4th quarter. I just looked at the play by play on nfl.com I'll have to watch it when I get home.
Just saying, Ivory has a history of tweaking things and being out a game or two. It's probably the main reason the team won't feature him. His violence in running also leads to injuries.
Hope he's fine though.
He didn't almost cost us the game, he did exactly what they planned. Run three times to burn Atlanta's timeouts and as much clock as possible and then punt. If we got a first down then great, but that wasn't really the point. Protect the ball, burn the last timeouts, and run time off the clock. Those were the important things.
To put that in perspective, Barry sanders led the league in no gains and runs for losses. ?So the odd no gain should be taken lightly.
That's probably part of it. Plus, Ivory had complained a bit to the media, and even made a few trade noises. The Saints may not have wanted to give him too much of the spotlight after that.
Still waiting for Ingram to show he can go the distance.. So far all I see is that in the last to games he's stepped it up. Could be coincidence but the day after he watches Eddie Lacy spin out of tackles against LSU all of a sudden he's using that move. Good for him and the team. Also could be feeling the heat from Carmichael.
Yeah, and things that Payton might not have done. He would have gone for the throat, swept the leg, and put them down with a play action pass from Brees to Graham or a surprise end around. It was the safe call, but I miss the days when Payton would have gone for the throat and ended the game right there.
So Pierre and Ingram almost lost the game for us? Because Pierre had 1 carry for no gain. Then Ingram had 2 for 2 yards. You don't bounce those runs. You dont cutback those runs. You get the ball and get upfield.
Your blinding bias toward Ivory is pathetic.
Exactly, the goal in that situation is to keep it simple and gain some room to punt.
Ivory is not a natural interview. It's almost painful when he does do interviews. I bet that has more to do with it than anything else.
Just sayin... I bet you $100 if Payton was on the sidelines yesterday, he throws it and tries for a 1st down to kill it ourselves in victory formation.
Ok, let me begin by saying if you've ever seen me post, you know I don't buy into any of the paranoia that goes on around here. I don't freak out, and I don't think of ways things can go bad.
However, after I read this positive article from Duncan about Ivory, a part of it made me wonder something.

Here's the quote I'll be discussing.
Here's my paranoia. Is Ivory hurt? The Saints are big on saying nothing about injuries and keeping things a secret until Wednesday when the league mandates they have to report injury news. Look at Sproles. No one had any idea he broke his hand he had "family / personal issues" and was excused from practice. Then, Wednesday hits and "oh yeah, he had hand surgery one one of his hands 50/50 shot as to which one".
My hope is that it's all about Ivory being humble and just didn't want a lot of attention, but I have a weird feeling about this.
Sorry for pushing the "panic" button, but if anyone has any janitor friends, it would be a good time to ask around.
Ok, flame away.
