Saints Pat Swilling's son Tre Swilling signed to Practice Squad (3 Viewers)

Steve Stonebreaker‘s wiki page states that he and his father are one of four father -son duo’s to have played for the Saints .. presumably that was written prior to the Tre Swilling signing today, so besides the Mautis and Stonebreakers- who were the other two father -son pairs ?

I can't look through it at the moment, but this link is where the Wikipedia information came from:

4.7 40 is really pedestrian. He claims he runs a 4.5 which is ok for a safety but not corner speed.Link Maybe he can see the field like Sammy Knight who compensated for his lack of speed with his instinct.

Pulling for him.

Both were Whodats ? Interesting, i only knew that one was.

One more question: Other than last year’s Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp- is anyone aware of any other grandsons of Saints who have even played in the league ?
I’m not sure if the are currently any others, but that’ll change in a couple years when Arch Manning hits the pros.

I got to meet Pat Swilling one Fat Tuesday years ago when he had a area barricaded off and was bbqing on Canal St. He invited me and a friend in to get something to eat. He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Having said all of that I hope his son gets to stick around and make the team.

Has nice explosion and agility scores, but his speed is horrendous. Given how well the Saints have done with scouting their defensive backs, and the fact elite football is in his DNA, hoping something good develops!

Hope he sticks ! Sammy Knight wasn't super fast either. Hope he balls out ! SWILLING on the back of a saints jersey again would be pretty cool...

and who knows, maybe in a few years he will do well enough that we can trade him to a mediocre franchise in return for a top 10 pick that pans out to have a HOF career.

One can dream.
We would NEVER do that in our organization ! Where do you come up with this ridiculous stuff ? (Sarcasm on) 😁

Mine too, I watch old videos of YouTube about the Dome Patrol all the time.

A little off topic, but one of my favorite Utube videos from the Dome Patrol era features a night ill never forget.. i was a freshman in college and working as an usher at the Dome for extra cash.. one Monday Night i was assigned to an elevator, and it happened to be the game where they were celebrating the Cha-Ching phenomenon .. after halftime, this red-headed kid gets on my elevator looking all beat to hell; i immediately recognized him as the kid from the Cha-Ching commercials.. he was the smallest kid youve ever seen, almost like a little person.. i said What’s Up’ and he’s like ‘This has been the longest day of my life’… we talked a little more, but only years later did i realize that the kid’s name was Seth Green .
