Agreed. He was not good with the Vols. If we’re talking backups I’d rather go for Hendon. Please trust when I say this guy is not good. Training camp MVP bc of amazing physical skill but he can't use any of it correctly. Vols should've had 1 maybe 2 losses that year but we went 8-4.
It would be the same as drafting a young QB that will sit and learn. Still will cost a draft pick, and you can have a player already in the league probably for a lesser pick.Kellen already has his guy. No need to trade picks for a guy that won't play.
It's called having a contingency plan, all smart(except Falcons) franchises have done it, the Patriots Milton and Maye, Falcons last year drafting Penix jr when they had Cousins, Washington Redskins Robert Griffin III/Cousins, Vikings Sam Darnold/J.J. McCarthy etc.......... all great decisions. What is the point of developing 2 QBs

Yep. But people who've only seen highlight reels or limited play beg to differ lolPlease trust when I say this guy is not good. Training camp MVP bc of amazing physical skill but he can't use any of it correctly. Vols should've had 1 maybe 2 losses that year but we went 8-4.
You mean like the Cowboys did with Aikman and Walsh? ...Same thing the Patriots did when they drafted him and Drake. Pick two and make a decision. Would be the same with Rattler and Joe. I don’t care either way bc I want to see us draft a QB next year.

Well the Saints weren't involved in that tradeOr the 49ers with Montana and Young?

I could imagine the fans if he was our backup. He would be the greatest since Joe Montana.Give Milton a competent coach and you'll see what he's capable of. I'd be down, but I doubt the Saints are.
Yes. I'm just saying it should be a red flag when a team is willing to part with a young QB that is supposedly starter material. The Patriots are smart in trying to sell high... off of a very limited body of work. I just hope the Saints aren't buying... again.True, I thought we were discussing teams that developed a 2nd QB, but the discussion was on the other part about us trading for the 2nd QB.
Right he looks pretty good, so why put him out there now?Yes. I'm just saying it should be a red flag when a team is willing to part with a young QB that is supposedly starter material.
