Patriots trade DT Davon Godchaux to the Saints for 2026 7th round pick

Looks like a solid move. Does this alter our draft strategy?
Probably not. Graham dropping to 9 is not likely. They’re probably going Jeanty, Tet, or the TE at 9 now.

Surprisingly solid move btw. It’s pretty rare for a 3-4 DT to get close to 70 tackles a year and that role was a huge hole in our D going into 2025 season

Looking around at Saints media elsewhere, and if Davon Godchaux from Plaquemine, LA and attended LSU was actually Devin Gordon from Blytheville, AR and attended Texas Tech, the reporting on him would be as scathing as it has been about the rest of the moves the team has made. Being a local guy who went to the flagship school is the only thing keeping his reporting positive.

It all depends if we are 2nd worst in stopping the run in 2025...
I realize the article is over the top...
Metcalf to the Steelers is the trade of the year.

On a side-note
Rumor in Steelers fandom is Pickens wants out...
Do we make an offer for him?

Nope. He's the latest Steelers WR they are getting rid of due to his attitude, etc.

Antonio Brown
Chase Claypool
Deonte Johnson
George Pickens

There's a trend with Pittsburgh and their WRs.
