Read anything any scout or report has about him. Dude is one of the best in the league at stopping the run. You’re not going to hear his name much, but his impact will be felt. Plus he fits the defense greatly that we’re moving towards.

I thought he played pretty well last year he was someone I looked at specifically whenever he was on the field and even though it wouldn’t result in sacks he beat his man a lot of the time. That being said, I don’t think he’s worth even what we paid him last year. I’m very fine if we let him walk.

Yeah, only listed him to show how many players rostered last year are basically at the same position assuming Saints go to a 3-4. I think Boyd is a keeper if for no other reason he is young & cheap.

He can play behind Godchaux and add to the rotation at NT.

Great pickup for minimal to nothing in draft capital... Fills a big position of need on the interior DL ... Also keeps us from needing to use additional draft capital on an IDL in this year's draft... and instead focus on drafting young skill players we can compete with, and to get us out of Salary cap "bent over a barrel mode". Great move.
