Pelicans, Brandon Ingram will 'play it out,' David Griffin says, as trade would be 'mechanically complicated' (3 Viewers)

Because our top 2 five man rotations are a net negative that logged almost 600 minutes.

Our best two 5 man lineup with 100 minutes logged... Don't have Zion and Ingram together.
The Pels best 5 man lineup with >= 100 minutes logged are JV/CJ/BI/Herb/Trey at +15.7

The next best 5 man lineup >= 100 minutes logged are JV/CJ/Zion/Herb/Trey at +1.0

So the only difference in those top 2 lineups are BI and Zion. With BI that lineup has a +14.7 net rating difference with a much higher assist %. For a guy that doesn't shoot enough 3s and doesn't fit.

**had to adjust the filter to include right at 100 minutes. That lineup is LNJ/Zion/CJ/Herb/Trey at +15.5. So take the best lineup and replace both JV and BI with LNJ and Zion just to barely equal the best 5. Fact still remains you make 1 change with that best lineup to swap Zion with BI and the net rating shoots way higher.

A. Trades aren't unilateral.
B. The Pelicans want/need something very specific in return while not being able to go past the 1st apron.
C. Other teams have their own limitations with the new CBA.
D. Neither side is in any rush to do anything.
If BI was seen as worth a max contract, someone would have made the necessary moves to make it happen. Period

Getting draft assets in return for a BI trade would also have enabled us to go after a center in a second trade.

The truth is that an exce see a wing like Ingram and think immediately that they are better off drafting one 1st overall than trying to trade for him. Came out with a statement that had no interest in Ingram.

If that's not damaging... How about the two months after it of Pelicans trying to shop Ingram?

If you're MAX level salary... You have to play like one recently. Getting embarrassed in the playoffs avging 14ppg on bad efficiency no matter the injury... It is unacceptable at that salary.

If he was avging 32 points in that playoff series. He would be already gone.

I get it but why is he the only one being held accountable what did Zion and cj average ?

Because he is the one being evaluated for a new contract
I hear you but where are the criticism of the guy that is already paid do he get a pass now that he got paid
Because then it make sense why Ingram would want his money here because once New Orleans pays you the expectation goes out the window ig same for cj
