I remember the stories of Ronnie Lott injuring his finger (pinky?) during a 49er SB appearance, and having it amputated so he could play the 2nd half. Man wanted a Lombardi THAT bad! I used to think that was the ultimate bad-arse move....amputating a limb to finish a game that's still undecided. "My guys need me....but I don't NEED that finger...take it off, cauterize the bleeding, and send me back out!"

Now I'm thinking "pffftt...who wouldn't do that for a chance at a Lombardi? I know a crazy bastid who did it to attend Training Camp!" LOL! Davenport, my new favorite bad-arse! "I'm tired of re-injuring this finger....cut it off!"

Let's not act like being on the PUP is somehow a positive thing. Can they be taken off the list tomorrow? Sure. Is it time to overreact? No, but (in my opinion) it is a bit concerning that our highly-paid star receiver is still dealing with the same injury that's affected him for the last 2 seasons.
