Werner has had a better career so far than Ellis’s and Baun. If he does have a breakout contract year it’s going to cost a lot to keep him.

We had contingency plans for them, Werner is a player who could eventually replace Davis in the middle.

Yeah. Especially when Werner's biggest negatives are not getting off blocks and getting pushed back at the point of attack.
He's great in pass coverage, of course he'll look great in helmets.

That’s not a difficult decision at all. Adebo over Werner every time. A solid outside CB is way more valuable in today’s NFL than a slightly average LB.

While true, Demario isn't going to be around forever, so we have to replace him, and Werner could be that guy. We can just draft another corner. Allen has the midas touch with corners.
