It’s a new development on a Saints signing close to happening, instead of just the deciding between 3-5 teams, so I don’t see why not

I would say a new discussion thread is warranted when it goes from idle speculation to a news source reporting that there is firm belief that he will sign with the team, but that's just me. A tweet like this could get lost in an epic long thread.
