Pierre is the doghouse!!! (1 Viewer)

It always amazes me when you guys can't tell the difference between some guy stating his opinion and an actual news story.

I'm sure we are all able to understand - it's just that his comments seemed contradictory and out of the blue.

I thought Glazer said that the doctor NEVER told PT that the injury would keep him out 4-6 weeks and he just hasn't been playing.....could be wrong but I thought thats what he said.

Thats exactly what Glazier said. That the Dr. never told THomas that it would be a 4-6 week injury and that even when he returned to play he would be a healthy scrath because of how Ivory's playing.

Ivoy has played in, what, four games? Bell was money through his first 3 or 4 games; now, he's playing with the Brows.. Just sayin'.

It's amazing how whimsical everyone can be.

I love PT but no one could defend that. I doubt that's what is going on though. PT would be doing everything he can to prove he's worth a new contract.. I just don't think Sean Payton is letting him...

Well I was just sayin' IF he continues to perform, however this kid is heads and shoulders above Bell. His combined skill sets and size appear to be scary good to me. His burst and open field speed are special.

It must be really bad, Pierre IS the doghouse, not just in it.

This whole thread is confusing to say the least. From the title "Pierre is the doghouse" (huh?) to Glazer's incomplete tweet. Having a tiny piece of info and jumping to conclusions is worse than having no info at all......

The three back season is what made us so successful last year. We had Pierre and Bell splitting the carries for different drives giving each back a rest. While using Reggie as a change of pace back. Without Thomas next year we will be without s heavy downhill runner that can help in the pass game as well. As smart as SP is, he knows better to "scratch" Thomas, because it will hurt the way his offense works. The only way he will "scratch" Thomas is if he has someone in the mix who can replace him. At this point I don't think Ivory can match up to Pierre in terms of the passing game. So I say Pierre will be back when healthy.

I think this stems from the new contract that PT wants.

I would say Ivory fills the role of a heavy downhill runner quite well, he even has the potential to do it better then PT..

like you said in the 2nd part Where we will sorely miss PT is in the Passing game, his technical knowledge of blitz pickup responsibilities, pass routes, and his ability to run the screen is why he's been the primary back for the better part of 2 seasons.

Sean Payton frustrated w pierre thomas extended absence& very impressed w chris ivory. Even when thomas returns could be healthy scratch

Sounds to me like Glazer tries to make stories, throw mud at the wall and see what sticks. I dont believe for one second that a Saints team that is in playoff contention would make PT a healthy scratch, I also dont believe PT would quit on his team because of contract. It is a bunch of hooey IMO.
