Post-Draft Kevin White thoughts (1 Viewer)

Please no. A WR that can't catch, um nope.

My thoughts are that, if White makes the team again… and that’s a big IF…

He won’t have the #17 anymore… Olave is gonna get it

It’s frustrating as heck cause he gets himself wide open on practically every play. But you are 100% right, a wr who can get open but can’t catch is like a kicker with a 100 yard leg, but can’t split the uprights. Useless.
Can you imagine lining up for a 90 yard field goal and it having the distance?

It's weird, too. No real injury problems in college with hands like glue. Gets to the NFL and he's brittle and can't catch. It's bizarre.
It happens for some players. He's not the first high draft pick in professional sports to not pan out.

Have to give the guy some credit. He's signing cheap and future deals. Trying to learn a new position and playing ST which he never did in Chicago (5 ST plays in 3 seasons).

We have quite a few WRs on the team and usually only carry 6 on the 53-man roster. Does the current state of the WR market place more value on developing WRs, probably so. With the base defense being a 4-2-5 which requires less LBs, do we carry an extra WR or 2 for ST instead of depth LBs that never see the field? White and Baker got ST snaps in kick/punt coverage so we might see a roster composition change.
