My personal take: they are trying to nudge people into bundling. Because you can "save" by bundling al 3 services for like $15-$20/mo

Disney+ Ad Plan Price and Launch Date Set, Along With Fee Hikes for Disney+ Premium and Hulu

The Disney+ ad-supported tier will launch Dec. 8, when the price of Disney+ with no ads will go up. Hulu prices are also increasing.

“With our new ad-supported Disney+ offering and an expanded lineup of plans across our entire streaming portfolio, we will be providing greater consumer choice at a variety of price points to cater to the diverse needs of our viewers and appeal to an even broader audience,” Kareem Daniel, chairman of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, said in a statement.

Starting December 8th: Disney+ with ads will cost $7.99 a month (the same price that Disney+ currently costs, without ads).
The "premium", ad-free version of Disney+ will cost $10.99 a month.

October 10th: hulu ad-supported tier, which currently costs $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year, will increase to $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. The ad-free tier, currently $12.99 a month, will be bumped up to $14.99 a month without an option for a yearly subscription.

August 23rd: ESPN+ will increase in price from $6.99 a month and $69.99 a year to $9.99 a month and $99.99 a year.

I have the Bundle mostly for the D+ and EPSN (LSU Baseball) but I absolutely refuse to watch Hulu. They can't get more than 6 advertisers and they show the same 6 adds 4 times during a 1 hour episode of a show. If I could cut out Hulu I would.

I have the same. I use ESPN+ mostly for LSU basketball, and my son for soccer. You and I will pay 14.99. I'm not even sure what we pay now.

Yeah, I've been on the bundle for a year now and I hope they don't tinker with it.

Honestly, I’ll pay it. Disney+ gets a lot of use in our house.

I don’t think HBO Max has ever had a price increase. Maybe they flubbed a promo or something but the price has been the same.

Correct - the streaming content is better, IMO; however, the rising costs are getting up there with a regular cable subscription.

I haven’t had cable for a while. I don’t miss a thing. The only time I notice is when a game is on and a sports bar is only about a block or two away.
