Do…which ps5 should I buy? Not a huge gamer, and primarily will be getting it got Hogwarts, NCAA (when it arrives), and Eldin Ring. Looks like there are different ps5 options

Yes I play. I had a decent number of PS4 games on Disc. So, I opted for the version with a disc. If you're only going to play digital games, and don't have an extensive library, and don't plan on selling games back, you can pick either version. Save some money and get the one without the disc reader (the Digital version).

Unless you also want it as a 4k Bluray player, then you'd want the disc version.

All of these updates make me think they'll announce a half upgrade to the PS5.. like a slim or pro model later in the year. So, unless you want it now, might wait for them to drop in price, if that does happen. Otherwise, get it while you can.

thanks. I ended up getting the PS5 with the ROM, but no games included. I figured that I’d get PlayStation Plus Premium and try a good percentage of the games before I buy. My wife loves Hogwarts Legacy, and I get the comedic relief of her trying to be a gamer

That's not a bad plan. Some of the games are coming off of the collection (if not already), so add them to your library now.

It’s pretty impressive. For $18 I downloaded essentially all of the big titles. The only three I wanted to look at that I couldn’t are Hogwarts (which I purchased anyway), Elden Ring (which I’ll probably buy), and GT7 (on the fence).

I love Elden Ring. Very good game. Graphics are amazing. I'd also recommend RE8: The Village if you are into games with good story lines. Again, graphics are amazing and the game play is very fluid.

I haven’t historically been a big zombie fan. Growing up I preferred Silent Hill to RE. If that ever gets remastered for PS5 I’d check it out. I think I’d like Elden Ring though. I like big open world adventures. Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time. I’m not sure how many hours we have put on it. So I figure games like Elden Ring, GoW, and Horizon are worth checking out. Tons of titles so it’s a bit overwhelming for someone who finally bought a console

I like big open world adventures. Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time. I’m not sure how many hours we have put on it. I'm not a big zombie fan, RE8 has a cool story line, but if horror isn't your thing, it won't be enjoyable. There are quite a few more that are on the horizon for release. Enjoy, I am not a huge gamer but I like the PS5 and it definitely makes sense to get the membership. I just went with the Extra, the premium adds a few luxuries I don't use and it saves you 30 bucks or so.

there will undoubtedly be a mid-cycle xbox and ps5 refresh, or pro variant. Only question is when. Also rumors point to a ps5 slim w/o an optical drive. Xbox is already pretty small, but the ps5 is gargantuan and has room to be shrunk down

Considering MS has admitted defeat, I think I'll be interested an updated PS5..

Gotta get in on that Switch action. Back in the 90s, I had a Sony PSP. It was a VERY kick arse system.

apparently that 'handheld' is basically only remote play for your ps5 if it's on the same wifi network...it's not an actual dedicated console

good for long poops and gaming on the porch
