Alert! QB Derek Carr will miss multiple games with oblique injury, at least 2 weeks; Derek Carr is week-to-week per Dennis Allen (1 Viewer)

Even if we do go 2-5. The only games I'm worried about after are Atlanta and Washington. However, our defense is not gonna struggle against Denver. They are not a good offensive team at all.
I’m gonna wager a guess that Payton has some experience calling plays against Dennis Allen’s defense.

It's so wild. It's like....had there just been signs that the OL was awful we could have done something about it....but....we just had no clue. No clue at all. And here we are.....

We had a clue, we just did not have the resources or anticipate losing Ram and Hurst and Saldeveri and Penning not stepping up to claim a spot on the line, really just a series of unfortunate events.

what are you talking about?
we invested more in Oline than any other group
what more could have been done?

Because he only throws off his back foot when terrified
I just watched the highlights and I use that term loosely from the Kansas City game. Didn’t feel like watching them before. On the crazy throw, Carr was under pressure, but when I looked at it again, it was very obvious he had a man about 7 yards deep wide open he could’ve thrown to directly in front of him to the left, and then about 10 yards behind him. The other receiver was wide open. So he had three receivers, two of which were wide open, one was double-covered. He chucked it straight up in the air to the one that was double-covered. Ready to see what Rattler has to offer.

I know I'm never going to convince the haters otherwise, but two of his biggest highlight plays from weeks 1 and 2 were literally him standing up straight while getting hit and delivering on-time deep balls to Shaheed.

He was playing with relentless, as bad as it gets pressure weeks 3-5 and still didn't completely fold like many other QBs would. It gets no worse than the OL play against the Eagles and Chiefs. Many, many QBs would have throw 3-4 INTs and been sacked 4-5 times.

The guy was playing well until a possibly unprecedented number of OL injuries. I hope Rattler can change things up with his mobility, but man are some of these comments unfair to Carr given how much he was leaving on the field this year for the team.

Add to it the fact that he got pummeled relentlessly behind a putrid line last year guiding a completely 1 dimensional, uninspired offense - got his shoulder smashed and constantly beaten - and all Carr did was play through the pain and physical battering because he wanted to win football games.

And the fans still crapped on him and week 1 of this season people in my section booed him when his name was called in introductions.

Carr is a good QB and all he’s done is worked his butt off and taken a hell of a beating since coming here.

I hate to say it, but he deserves better than these fans.

Two posts with fairs assessments instead of the predetermined notions that most here have to support their narrative.

It's pretty simple. The majority of posters here don't like Carr and if he were to walk on water, they would say it was only because he was in the shallow end.

I'm not saying he is a franchise savior or anything, but he deserves more respect than he gets here.

The guy was jeered last year when injured and booed another time when introduced. Who could be proud of those moments?

He led the league the final 5 weeks of the season in almost all QB metrics but was dismissed due to competition they came against.

He led the league through the first 2 weeks of this season before the team was decimated with injuries and had the team within a minute of being 4-0 and also with 3 points with 12 minutes to play of the undefeated defending back-to-back Super Bowl champions in their house before getting injured himself and there never seems to be much empathy or excuses allowed for him.

It's actually pretty pathetic the outright lack of respect teetering on poor sportsmanship regularly shown here.
