Cooper Kupp is the only Rams player I like. The rest can eat rocks

I’d like him to come here as a legacy signing. His grandfather, Jake Kupp, was one of my favorite players as a kid and one of very few pro-bowlers in our early years.

Saints should toy w/ trading Olave. His ceiling seems similar to Brandin Cooks who they traded just b4 his 4th year.

Then Make a run at Higgins. Higgins + Shaheed would be = to AJ Brown + Devonta Smith.

His film doesn’t lie he’s not the same guy he once was. I get it, it’s injuries with some age sprinkled in but as someone already mentioned…… this is a smart guy move .

He still has some ball left in him but not at that money and role. If he stays injury free he could have a good season maybe 2 tops but the end is near for him. Amazing player to watch thru the years but sad thing is receivers are a dime a dozen in the draft. You can easily replace him that way plus the emergence of Puka Nacua made him expendable.

Honestly, this is a good way to deal with an aging vet. It’s an insult to ask him to take a pay cut when the potential is there to earn that same $$ from someone else. If he values being in LA and his teammates, once he sees what the market bares for his services he may be open to redoing his deal.

The chances are low but not non-existent that someone will trade for him and keep the contract but I would guess a trade will be contingent on him redoing his deal with less money and more guarantees for him. It’s a way to let other teams be the barer of that bad news. It lets the Rams save some face because they tried to get him paid but it just didn’t work out.

This is what smart teams do. It’s also the right thing to do for the person and the player because if there is someone out there willing to pay him that much with his injury history and age it allows him to maximize his earning potential while he’s still in the league.

From your lips to God's ears I'd miss what Olave would've brought to the table, especially with a more transcendent QB, but indeed, we might well see some bolder moves than previously expected (and bolder than the cap gurus on the forum would have predicted) with a new head coach in town.

He was a great receiver in his prime but injuries seem to have caught up to him, doubt he will ever play a full season again....we need a healthy big body in his 20's IMO....

I wish Loomis will learn from this. Better to take the medicine than continue extending veterans in order to comply with the cap.

I know people don't want to hear this right now, but Loomis just traded Lattimore because he was getting older, injury prone, and his play was about to not live up to his contract. So while maybe he should do it more with guys like Cam, it's not like he hasn't done these things.

And Loomis got a pretty good return for Lattimore. I'm not sure Snead is going to get much of anything for Kupp because he likely waited a year too late and let the world know that they are going to trade him. He has no leverage now.
