(Rare Video) Sean Payton playing QB against the Saints (2 Viewers)

For info, read this http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=2734076

In 1987, due to the players strike, many no name 'replacements' had a dream come true when they were briefly on an NFL roster.

One of those was none other than Coach Payton, who played 3 games with the Bears as a QB. The last of those was against our own Saints. Watch the Saints defense beat down on him in this pretty rare video I hoaked up on TYT.

CLASSIC!!! thanks!!

I see Payton met Sam Mills. :smilielol:

That wasn't Sam Mills... It was someone wearing his number.

I remember that game very well. I watched it with my dad in the Baton Rouge hospital. My dad died the next day. Watching the Saints beat the bears was the last thing we ever did together.

Now we know where Payton learned his play calling. Bomb....Screen.....Bomb.....Screen......Bomb.....Screen

Payton has the mind, just didn't have the Arm..... that was kinda sad, i coulda picked off some of those quackers!!!

He's not foolin' me, that's Steve Walsh with a Sean Payton mask on.

That was the strike year and SP was a "scab"... as you can see a couple of the Dome Patrollers had "crossed the line", so SP and his scabby offense vs part of the best defense in the league at the time... wasn't gonna come out well for SP.

Name those players... I saw a 51... that WAS NOT Sam Mills... I saw a "Mack" was that Milton Mack (?)... saw a Taylor (Safety)... wasn't he a regular on our D?

I did not see any others that were names... from our great D's...

Excellent find. He's no John Fourcade, that's for sure. :mwink:

Is that kind of Ironic... Sorry to hear that, but at least you remember what you were doing 22 years ago... and with your dad. The irony is that that "Duck throwing" QB for the Bears, ended up coaching our Saints and leading us to the Conference Championship game against... those Bears.

P.S. Who is that chick in your avatar?
