Despite this thread being about Rattler, he and Caleb are not comparable at this point. So Rattler is nowhere near my response and shouldn’t be. I responded to you placing Caleb on the level of JD5, which is like night and day. The two guys who has played every game, in their rookie campaigns.

I hate to see Rattler get thrown to the wolves minus Olave, Shaheed, Taysom and Kamara. I mean, geez, that sounds dreadful even if we had Drew Brees taking snaps.

OP is correct.
Steven G is also correct, vomiting might be the correct response.
Carr is basically the same age as Taysom Hill, and like Hill, has had several injuries in recent seasons causing him to miss time.
Rattler is probably the right call for 2025.

Rattler may end up being the right call, but I don't believe there's any benefit to cutting Carr at least not financially in 25.

From what I can tell the only benefit is we can save 10mil from a bonus that is guaranteed in March. But…to do that we have to avoid restructuring his contract which means we have to find another place to get that 30mil cap space we’re going to get from the restructure.

Not really bc they are both being compared by what they have done in the NFL so far. Yes I’m an LSU fan, but I would have no problem saying Caleb is better, if he had been. Just like today, JD5 threw for 5 TDs to a receiving group that is void of a big name, outside of Scary Terry. Caleb is racking up Ls, with 2 Pro Bowl WRs, a young stud WR, good TE, and a potent RB who can catch out of the backfield. This forum knows me well enough that I call a spade a spade. I’ll build up any player, regardless of where they went to college. I hate Alabama more than any other school. Doesn’t stop me from bragging about Jalen Hurts, Derrick Henry, etc. Heck, I would be happy if we drafted Milroe bc of what his ceiling could be.
