Rattler is the only right answer (22 Viewers)

You know what the best possible news is for a non competitive franchise who’s perpetually over the salary cap?

A QB taken in the 5th round turning out to be a stud. There is no better answer or hope. Even if he fails miserably, he still is the best answer. Let me explain …

Either Rattler is the Savior of the franchise or we draft Arch Manning in 26. Both of which are huge wins.
The only loss is in having an older injury prone expensive QB come in and win just enough to keep you out of the playoffs , and away from the QB of the future , and likely finish the season on IR.

I appreciate Carrs grit , but it’s become a detriment to our ability to move forward as an organization.

He cannot be the man of the future , he will not lead us to a superbowl , he is a significant portion of our salary cap problem , and he keeps you away from a young quarterback who can right the ship.

It’s time we pivot. Record be damned. Give Rattler every opportunity to learn his way through a season next year , and if he’s not that guy , We go get our guy.
I couldn't agree more with this post. Love and agree with it all.

Not just a couple drops he had a very good throw and catch wiped out by a suspect holding call on Patrick that would have been a 1st down . Then on the pick they didn't call a facemask penalty
Right, there was a road to success for JH in the first half. But it didn’t happen, and he didn’t do anything outstanding to make things happen.

I disagree there were nothing but roadblocks in his way. Abysmal OL play even in the run game. 2 dropped passes one for a drive-extending 1st down. A great pass to Wilson overturned buy a suspect holding call on Patrick. A missed facemask on a pick.

JH had 14-15 plays and had Wash players in his face more than half the time. Even the defense played like crap in the 1st half, but that tune sure changed in the 2nd half
Where was his road to success??

What? Caleb has 17 touchdowns and 5 ints. Rattler had 2 touchdowns and 2 ints.
Caleb should have way better stats and ratings for the entire season that he has played. His defense has bailed his butt out time and time again. He has a disgusting amount of talent around him. Rookie QBs dream of having a team loaded like that.

I’m saying Williams does not stand out from Rattler in real time impact right now. In short time, a 5th round QB is playing on the same level as the #1 overall pick in sustaining drives and leading the offense to points and still improving. Rattler’s benching was to evaluate the other young QB who was drafted a year before him. Yet, Rattler came off the bench and led the Saints to all of their 19 points in one half. Thats the point I was making where Williams is playing similar but has a longer leash as the #1 overall pick who had full QB1 reps since May.

Williams has very misleading passing stats. He isn’t recording a significant portion of his TDs and yards during the first 2-3 quarters while his games are still competitive. Truer comparisons between the two would be first downs per drive, first downs per game, their total offensive points including FG pts, # of scoring drives, and the # of TDs when their teams are within two possession scores or better.
It's like Dak with the Cowboys and Cooper Rush. Dak stats look way better but a great part of his production is in garbage time or against bad teams. If a game winning drive is needed forget about it.

Rush numbers look like absolute garbage, yet the Cowboys have won just as many games with him in fewer starts.

Yeah he sucks , no other way around it. A good Qb with those weapons would be closing in on 30 Tds passing

yall need to just chill and accept a few bad seasons until they figure it out. We havent had to endure a truly abysmal season in a long time. Some fanbases have to endure 0, 1,2,3 wins and that is the peak their team can do for a whole season.
