You can get a #4 RB off the streets. No need to rush to get one right now

the problem is, i'm not sure of the quality of our RB2. Does Ingram have anything left? Can he stay healthy? We need quality at the top of the chart. Kamara can't be relied upon for both volume, consistency and tough yards north and south. You can get a #4 RB off the streets. No need to rush to get one right now
I think the argument for a RB is more about quality vs quantity. Behind Kamara, it’s all a question mark. As good as Ingram has been, how much does he have left? We don’t know. And the backs behind those two? Far from a sure thing. Surely we’ll be able to find some help.We don’t need a star there, but do need another guy who can effectively move the chains and carry a heavier load if called upon. You can get a #4 RB off the streets. But we’d also be adding another question mark. There are no difference making RBs walking the streets right now. They are all replacement level. We don’t even know if we will be without Kamara.I think the argument for a RB is more about quality vs quantity. Behind Kamara, it’s all a question mark. I hear you. I am just saying I don't think we need to look at it like we really need to find a #4 back. Beyond the #1, all those spots could potentially be upgraded. Whether we are able to find anyone is yet to be seen. Maybe some will get released due to a numbers game during camp. Maybe the new guy, Abram Smith will emerge or maybe TJJ will suddenly get it. Maybe Ingram still has enough left. I don't know. There are a lot of question marks, for sure. I'm personally not super comfortable going into the season with what we have. But we’d also be adding another question mark. There are no difference making RBs walking the streets right now. Your leaving off a very good RB we have on our roster. Seems like everyone overlooks him.
His name is:
Josh Adams
- Check out his YouTube videos when he played with the Eagles.
This is a great post i forgot about him as well. Solid talent. Good start and stop. Very capable player. Good shot to make the roster over Jones.
This. Exactly this. Regardless of AK's status I think we another legitimate RB. I was surprised they didn't draft one. Ingram is one of my all time favorite Saints but do you really want him receiving the bulk of the touches while AK is out? Does the combo of Ingram and Jones Jr seem like a viable rushing attack? That would be a pretty major gamble since Jones and Washington have never shown much in the regular season. But, it's possible that the team is more confident in Jones, Jr., Washington, and Jones than I am. I mean, I like Ingram, but even if we didn't run the risk of losing Kamara for a big chunk of next season, I would like an upgrade over Ingram. He's getting old and isn't quite as quick as he once was.
Problem is that we may not know anything about Kamra's status until camp or even into the season. So, we either get a vet RB now or have to just roll with what we have.
