Red Dead Redemption (1 Viewer)

you can play it through PSNow and probably Gamepass....

i took a look last night and I just didn’t see many others I would play. I had PSNow before and didn’t use it. I think just because I didn’t have a PS3 so I’m not as familiar with what the best titles this long after the fact are

I loaded up RDR2 last night and finally started a 2nd play through. It is such a massive game, I have not had any urge to play it again until now. Man, I forgot how long it takes for this game to take your training wheels off. Probably the longest tutorial stage there is

I am also considering dusting off the 360 to see if I can play through the first one again in chronological sequence. It will be an interesting jumó in terms of graphics but maybe I’ll be able to put my finger on why I liked the first one better.

There are rumors that Rockstar is releasing a remastered version of RDR...

I would definitely replay it...

I just started playing rdr2. Hopefully they release a ps5 update to it. It's a solid looking game regardless.

Pre ordering remasters isn't as much of a risk as pre ordering a new game. Unless of course it's resident evil 3 and they cut out a quarter of the game.

And the RemasterStation 5 is perfect for it.

I refuse to buy any more games that aren't remastered pre-orders that sell DLC within a week of release.

Dude no shirt. I just finished it and even at the 20 bucks I spent I felt a little cheated. It felt like a third of normal RE length. Remake of 2 was far better.

I finally got to fire up RD2 during 2020 downtime and I am not crying you are crying about my good friend Arthur. I can see it being replayable.

RDO is a rather silly place to go around solo.

Arthur grows on you a lot. Not being John actually took a lot of getting used to the first play through for me. Am I the only one that thinks Arthur talks like BBT (Carl) from Slingblade? Lol

I am also curious to play them consecutively because I could never place a finger on why the first was more fun for me. I suspect a lot of it was due to the first feeling more arcade and the second being more simulation. There is a ton of detail to appreciate in the second though. For instance I just took a deer carcass off my horse at the butcher and when you return to your horse, it’s rump is stained with blood for a while. That is quality attention to detail.

Heck I might even play Undead Nightmare again. They mailed it in for a lot of that one but it was still a quick fun play.

As much as I hate to say it, RDR2 doesn’t have much replay value. The story missions are just not even fun. This games strength was its chance encounters and side missions, treasure maps, challenges etc.
