Remember this thread should the Saints miss the playoffs... (1 Viewer)

I understand the OPs frustration and pessimistic outlook, but I disagree on the opinion that missing the playoffs will result in a major overhaul. Players will be cut who are counting too much against the cap. And maybe we see a coach or 2 get fired, or decide to leave for "personal reasons". But I will be shocked if there is a major overhaul. You make those when your window has closed and you need to rebuild. We just need to plug a few leaks.

While the OP has a lot written, and many want to poo-poo some, or even a lot of his opinion, he has some legitimate comments. It is perfectly acceptable to not see his POV, but to just look at things as all is fine, is not being realistic, or objective.

As a Saints fan, just like the OP and everyone else, for the most part on this forum, I want and believe the Saints can win any game, any where, under any circumstances. But will THIS team, considering everything with them this year; injuries, sub par performances along with questionable play calls, win when they absolutely have to? I have some doubt, only because of what I have just mentioned.

We shall see and I WILL be in that number in the dome this weekend!

I get the weird I want to "predict" and let it die unremembered if wrong, but I'll bump my own thread 84 times if right, when it's positive.

What I'll never understand is a sad pathetic being who wants to revel in "I told you it was going to suck." and then loves to say "See ***** it hurts, like I said, ain't I great?" Weird people. Makes me wonder if they cut off puppy feet for fun as as a kid.

I think we win on Sun and make the playoffs.

I agree with the lot of you that we have oline issues, which I believe are then causing more issues on offense such as poor runs, poor decision throws, and turnovers, and also that we have obvious problems closing out games on defense.

I think there will be a lot of changes in the off season regardless of what happens here on out. I think coach has made that clear by the moves he's made as of late. I hope the concentration is on offense/oline and ST. I have faith that we will be smart in this area as we usually are.

But this season isn't over yet, and I have also noticed that we've had some poor luck this year when it comes to the ball bouncing our way. I do believe it takes a certain amount of luck sometimes in football and so far it hasn't been in the cards for us. Every team I root for to win loses. Every team I want to lose wins. I try to keep the faith and hope for the best, but I feel our luck just isn't there. With some good luck instead of bad, we would have won at least 2 more games IMO.

Our team doesn't blow many games out of the water like it used to. When we let our opponents stay within a score, I'm nervous no matter who we are playing. All it takes is one mistake, one bad bounce, one bad call...

With all that said, I hope the ball starts bouncing our way if we make it to the playoffs. IMO if we are to win in the post season more than once, we may need some luck because we do have holes that are exposed. I don't think we are a bad team. I just don't think we are playing great/smart football right now and that is what is needed in the post season. I hope for these holes to just plug themselves and we play lights out, but that seems more unlikely than just hoping for some good luck. These problems take time to fix. Lets just hope we can plug the holes well enough and have enough balls bounce the saints way to stay in the game. WHODAT!

This thread is BS. Our coaching staff is one of the best in the business. We have one of the best QB's in the business. Our defense is playing lights out. Just because we lost a hard fought game on the road doesn't mean our season is over. We have beaten the best teams in the playoffs (San Fran, Carolina, and Arizona). If we win and make it in, no doubt we can beat any team we play. This team definitely has its flaws, but lets not try and pretend that we are the only team. The Saints can beat any team entering the playoffs. Carolina and San Fran have the worst offenses out of any team in the playoffs. I will gladly welcome the opportunity to play them
again.
THIS. Its bottom of the 9th w playoffs on line. Not the time for this. It aint over till its over.

Well I see the stars aligning not in favor again this year. I think the Cardinals are going to EARN that final playoff spot. Even the Falcons blew their chance to beat the 49ers on Monday Night when it was in their grasp. Now the 49ers can rest starters @ Arizona.

Looks like it's time for the OP to post his "Remember I told you we'd never win a road playoff game" threads. It's never too late to be an *******.

hahahahahahah someone will... we so many new posters here, one will probably take a chance on having a chance to end up his thread with I TOLD YOU SO ! :)

We should be glad to see another Saints game, win or loss.

I'm so smart, I know the "mental makeup" of my team and just know we'll lose every time......what's that, we won? Big? Whoops.....I'll just shrink back to the shadows and wait for the next loss, whence I'll bombard everyone with my "told you so's" and "I've been saying this foreveeerrrr...." all over everyone, yay

What really irritates me is that people who predict things like this are always so negative about every play and make it absolutely miserable to watch a game with. God forbid they get lucky and are correct, because then you get to hear an endless stream of 'I told you so.' What's worse, is when they're wrong, they almost NEVER admit to it, or throw out some BS excuse.

So let me say, OP, EAT CROW!
