Report: Bill Belichick will take over as HC/GM for a different NFL team next year, location already known (2 Viewers)

I’d question that too. Besides, pretty sure he’s earned an off year, even if it was on the back of Brady.

I think I’d love to see him go to Washington, reshape that franchise into something respectable. Not sure he’d be much better than the current staff, but it’s be a nice arc for him.

I used to hate Belichick, but I’ve softened up on him over the years. He really loves football and it comes off as quite genuine. The revisionist history going on about “Brady was the one that blablabla…” is BS.

Well BB apparently signed a very lucrative extension this past offseason. No one knows the terms or for how long. So how does that factor in with this rumor? Plus, with a destination already determined, is this tampering of sort?

Maybe there is some back channel, “permission to seek a trade” type stuff that’s happened behind the scenes?

Kraft is great friends with the day Walker Roger Goodell, so nothing would happen with that anyway. Just found details of the contract:

Yup, he’s most likely going somewhere else.

If true, it will likely be a contending team so that Belichick can win games and surpass Shula's win total. The most likely:
1. Chargers.
2. Dallas.

The longshots:
3. Washington--may be willing to pay anything to restore credibility and Belichick grew up in Maryland.
4. Chicago--because of the draft picks and history of franchise.

I think there is almost no chance he would coach for an owner like Jerrah.....actually Washington makes the most sense....but who knows?

Head Coach is obvious, but I can't believe someone would want to repeat the same mistake by also making him the GM too.

I didn't name Giants because I can't believe they would cut Daboll loose and Belichick and Daboll are close.

I didn't name Raiders because I can't believe he wants to coach that team.

The Chargers would seem the logical choice.
