Ron Paul takes 2nd in Nevada (1 Viewer)

way to go nevada, but another thing to consider. Even thought it would never happen, Paul advertised his belief that there should be no taxes on tips and there are a ton of tip jobs in vegas of corse.

Nevada voted for a candidate that believes in outlawing gambling and New Hampshire voted for McCain because they wanted to end the war.

I don't know why I said Michigan, I meant to say Florida where Paul should be in the double digits again.

Do you see him finishing better than third in FL? He's currently polling behind McCain, Giuliani, Romney, Huckabee, and Thompson. Thompson voters should go to the traditional Republicans if he drops out. The closed primary favors the other candidates as well.

And isn't it winner take all in Florida, meaning that even a double-digit showing by Paul will result in zero delegates?

I think he will take 4th in Florida. A lot of Thompson voters actually like Ron Paul as a second candidate. If he drops out then I could see him making a move to 3rd but unlikely he drops before Florida. I think Paul takes 11% in Florida which will be good for him regardless if that puts him in last place or third. Double digits is good for Paul considering he was at 1-2 percent just 6 months ago.

I still don't think he can win, a lot of that is because he is losing a lot of voters because they don't think he can win. That is why the second place finish in Nevada was so good. Paul has beaten every candidate except Romney at least once.

I think Thompson is going to drop out tomorrow, or maybe he will wait till Tuesday or something.

What is Ron Paul doing with all this money he has been donated? I havnt seen any ads for him or anything. You know what he should do? Get himself a Super Bowl commercial. That would get him a LOT of attention and probably score him some "cool points" with younger voters who care about such things.

South Carolina shows what will happen in a primary instead of a caucus...5th place with 4% of the vote.

I hear them all the time on CNBC and other radio spots: "My record is different."

He's got a lot of money for a "grass roots" candidate but compared to other front runner's it's not much.

Logic and common sense are dangerous aren't they?
