Ronald Curry won’t return to Saints staff (Buffalo Bills hiring Ronald Curry as QB coach) (2 Viewers)

Ronald Curry was a good dude, But it was time for him & entire Offensive staff to move on. The Offense has gone to crap for last couple of years. It time for brand new Offensive staff with fresh new ideas, Scheme & coaching techniques. After a while the players become to comfortable around certain coaches & start slacking off. With reports of Loomis & D.A apparently offering Curry the WR position, sounds like they convinced Kubiak to keep him. Course who can blame Curry for not wanting to go backwards on a demotion & landed on his feet as QB coach with Bills. Hopefully Loomis & D.A kind of back off & allow Kubiak have the complete input on who his coaches he really wants to bring in. This entire report of wanting to keep Curry smells of Loomis & D.A thinking they were going do Curry a favor by convincing Kubiak to keep him with a demotion to WR coach, probably knowing he would not accept it & they could save face by saying, well we really wanted to keep him.

I think it's also very possible that they did want to keep him. I don't think a face-save is necessary here. Maybe to fans whose negative noses are pressed a bit too close to the team's situation to have any sort of reasonable perspective, but it is completely understandable to anyone else that the whole offensive staff would be reviewed, and stay/go decisions will be made based on the information they're able to gather together. Any time you're dealing with multiple variables (in this case, the main two being "will we get along?" and "is he a fit for what I'm trying to accomplish?") the possibility of "yeah, but" and "no, but" arises. It sounds to me like they had a "yeah, but" here and and were all fine with letting him find his next job while preserving his dignity/their respect for him. Bloodlust for drama doesn't make it real.

DA hasn't had a hand in the offense, since becoming head coach. He helped get Carr here perhaps, but nothing else. DA didn't interview/hire KK......Loomis did. I think it was Loomis who saddled DA w/ Pete. So, it will be Loomis/KK running things on offense.
Proof , or you're just blowing smoke

From what I understand they wanted him to go back to WR coach and he felt like he wanted to be a QB coach or better and he moved on

I mean, considering he played the position as a professional, he knows more than 99% of people who talk about it. Just saying...

We all know that it will more than likely be his brother. That how most coaching gigs work nowadays..

Yep...exactly. He probably started calling around the second he found out he didn't get the job and I'm glad he found his way to Buffalo. This also probably sets him up in a way that if Brady kills it, he can roll with him as OC or be in a place to get it in Buffalo.
If JT was any good he's have already been on staff somewhere It took him 7yrs to land a HS HC position. If he knew all that and could teach he would have been hired

I would like to change some things in this post. No one (KK) has been Interviewed/hired yet. I miss spoke on that.

I hope you guys are right on this being DA's hire, because I like the choice (KK). I just don't trust Loomis's football decisions.
He hasn’t “officially” been hired yet but with everyone reporting it and no one stepping forward to dispute it, it seems to be legit. He definitely has been interviewed, on 1/23 if I remember correctly.

Honest question about the second part of your post because I’m not sure I’m understanding it correctly. Are you saying you hope it’s DA’s decision because you like the hire but don’t trust Loomis decisions and therefore wouldn’t like the hire as much if it was his decision? Or are just saying you don’t trust him to make this hire?

I do not know how good of a coach Curry is, and I can understand the new OC wanting to bring in assistants he favors.

Two comments. One, if Curry is a great coach, then shame on the Saints for last year keeping Pete as OC and not promoting Curry.

Two, I do not want to hear in week 9 in 2024 that the reason the offense is struggling is a new system and new coaches.

This right here. No more built in excuses.
:munch:Remember I said it...Ronald Curry.

No, what I am saying is I trust DA to pick an OC more than Loomis.

If 🦌 left it up to Loomis then he would’ve hired Jon Gruden possibly.
