Rumor: Les Miles/Tommy Tubberville (2 Viewers)

LSU is Miles ahead of Miami over the last 5 years. That's just ridiculous. Facilities, top talent, coaching(never thought i'd say that), depth, level of play. not to mention the thumping LSU gave Miami on the field just a couple of years ago, and then when miami "wanted some" after the game, got the rears kicked then too. You do realize its not 1991 anymore, right?

How are those Horns doing? Maybe we'll come get Mack, wait nah, we ain't going backwards, keep him.

Schiano turned down the head coaching job at Miami, which is at least an equal program to, if not better than, LSU. It's also his alma mater.

Maybe you can talk Bellicheck into coming to LSU! OMGLOL!!!!!

LSU fans. :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:
Yeah, Maybe you haven't been paying attention, but Miami isn't that desirable of a job right now. Personally there are too many internal issues for my tastes, but who knows why Schiano turned it down? If guys like Butch Davis and Dennis Erickson can end up at places like UNC and ASU, then it is indeed realistic for a guy like Schiano to end up at LSU. It's all about timing.

Of course I would have never pulled out the name Nick Saban or Les Miles the last couple go 'rounds when the same question was posed, so it's much more likely that LSU would end up with someone not even mentioned.

When Saban decided to leave, LSU went with the cheap alternative (Les Miles). Doesn't mean it was a horrible hire, but that's generally what the LSU Board does.
So I'd be suprised if they went after a big name coach that would cost them $$$$$ like a Tedford or Schiano or Spurrier or even Tubberville.
But, it has been mentioned before we hired Saban and Miles that there was some interest in Tubberville.
If they did hire Tubberville, the fans would hate it at first. Then 50% would love him after his first speech. Then the other 50% would love him after his first win.
Hell, Miles is just getting a little love after going 27-4 (or something like that) over 3 years.

Not sure if Miles would be smart to move unless it's for a ton of change. If things keep going in the right direction and LSU keeps winning. Miles is cementing a job for years to come. Recruiting in La. is a whole lot easier than recruiting in Mich. LSU owns La. and also has Tx and Fla in close proximity to draw a ton of talent.

They'll probably go with an assistant coach from a better school. Probably Greg Davis.

If Tommy Tuberville were to become LSU's coach, I would throw up. Not only in my mouth. A full-fledged projectile of stomach contents. Repeatedly. The thought of it is making my nauseous. Time to go to the bathroom....:pUKE1:

I would think they would promote Pellini as the first choice. I think Tedford would also be a good candidate, I do not recall if Cal is still stonewalling him on all the facility upgrades that he has been asking for over the past few years.

Miles would be dumb to leave, but the call of home is a tough one to resist most times.

I'm not an LSU "fan". Nice try.

You guys act like CTT is a terrible coach that would bring your program down, I would take him over Miles any day of the week. Seeing as how LSU pays their coaches, I don't see why Tubberville would leave Auburn for a lower paying job at an equivalent program.

equivalent program.

:smilielol: that's funny.:smilielol:

I don't like that TT has lost to South Florida. Even if your talent is down, that should never happen. You guys are bringing the SEC down.

Nah, no thanks on TT, keep him right where he is.

Losing to UAB is okay though...right?

Normally I'd search for something to e-throw at you for suggesting someone like Davis as the LSU HC, but Fat Boy running the Read Option intrigues me...

How LSU pays their coaches? Recently they had the highest paid Head Coach in college football and currently have the two highest paid assistants if I'm not mistaken. Miles has been paid handsomely for his services; They just made him earn it first.
