Carr threw a quick screen to Shaheed yesterday which resulted in a loss of yardage, because there was no one there to block. We also could use more TE screens to TH7. The blocking on these screens need to be better for them to work. The O-Line has regressed since last season. Ram's kick-slide hasn't been the same since his knee injury a couple of seasons ago. The Saints need to invest in a top pick at RT in next year's draft.

I just don't know what we do with Ramczyk if we are already looking for his replacement, more than likely he is on our roster until at least 2025 due to $35m in backloaded dead cap charges for 2024. His salary is one of the best options (dollar-wise) to use for our annual restructuring strategy, so we would push another $13m or so to 2025, giving us a $31m dead cap charge for that year.

His knee is a degenerative issue, so he's only going to get worse, though I think we really need to get rid of Marrone. That alone might help turn the OL around, but if not, we need 4 new OL with Penning being essentially a rookie gets a slight pass from me.

I was wondering about this. There were several comments by folks who cover the team during the offseason about Ramczyk's career potentially being compromised by injuries. I've never known exactly what they are talking about. He's only in his seventh year and still on the sunny side of 30. Tackles routinely play well into their mid-30s. What is up with him?

Exactly. A good scheme and unpredictable offense will make an offensive line look better. They're being hung out to dry by Pete's terrible offense.

71 get's beat, 78 gets beat, 75 is looking around and can't find a sole to block, the two edge players are getting pushed back. It's bad all the way around. All 5 players just don't all of a sudden suck. There's more to the picture.
