He almost grabbed Carrās shoulder so if hes not going to injure himself, he moves on to the next player.I guess him not injuring himself is a win.
If he'd have thrown it to graham on time it's pretty likely he gets the first. He's still 6'7 and 260 and that DB would have had a chore catching him crossing. You can see the CB pick him up here, and there is a safety over the top of the pattern that we canāt see who is probably following Carrās eyes to that side of the field.

Sometimes you have to make the other team make a play. Worst case scenario, I think punting would have been a far better outcome than what actually happened. If he'd have thrown it to graham on time it's pretty likely he gets the first. He's still 6'7 and 260 and that DB would have had a chore catching him crossing.
He was getting beat alot today. He looked off.DC held on to the ball for 6+ seconds... I would hardly call that getting beat. It was a bad play all around.
There was no one Peat could block McCoy's man was too far away. TP did a great job on his man. McCoy got thrown aside like a old dishrag and Ram's guy pushed and went around him. Hurst did a good job on that playRam and McCoy both lost their 1v1s. Peat was blocking air while the RB got bowled over. Penning held his own while Hurst won his rep. Our ābestā OL guys failed.
Highly unlikely JG gets the 1st , that DB was just waiting for him to catch it and then the DB on Sheed would have come up to help. DC was waiting for MT to clear the DB and needed another half sec to try and fit it in between the DB and the safetyIf he'd have thrown it to graham on time it's pretty likely he gets the first. He's still 6'7 and 260 and that DB would have had a chore catching him crossing.
I think this a byproduct of 3 preseason games and starters playing for one series. No cohesion.Watching a lot of games this year. It seems to me that either OL play is struggling league wide or pass rushers are playing at a higher level than ever before.
I agree. Also, If you play fantasy football you know injuries are at an off the charts record right now. The leauge needs to hire the best of the best to study why. Could be luck but something to definitely look intoI think this a byproduct of 3 preseason games and starters playing for one series. No cohesion.
We need a YAC man badly.
His knee is a degenerative issue, so he's only going to get worse, though I think we really need to get rid of Marrone. That alone might help turn the OL around, but if not, we need 4 new OL with Penning being essentially a rookie gets a slight pass from me.Ramczyk no doubt played extremely well his first few of years in the league. He looked like the answer for the next 10 years at Right Tackle.
In 2021 he suffered a knee injury, and in 2022 he suffered hip and elbow injuries.
So far in 2023 the team seems to be unable to run on his side of the line. Running Backs are getting hit behind the line of scrimmage with regularly. Heās also given up multiple sacks, and on many other plays heās allowing pressure on the QB.
He used to be a strength on the Oline, and at times dominant, but I just donāt see that any longer.
Today he gave up the sack that hurt Carr.
Is it just me seeing this?
He needs to be fired. Now I'm not saying he should be fired right now because I'm not really sure if that's a good idea during the season. We might have to stick with him for the rest of the season and make our decision then, but he has to go. I also want Pete Carmichael gone. I have no faith in him being able to consistently call good games. Curry looked decent calling plays in the preseason.No. After this season we need to take a serious look at bringing in proven offensive line help and we need to take a serious look at Doug Marrone and wonder why we aren't seeing much improvement from this line.
It was 3rd and 9 JG ran a 4yd route no chance for a 1st. DC was waiting for MT to clear the LB another half sec and the completion was there
This. It might have avoided the sack but wouldn't have been close to a first. You can't predict when or if you will be injured on a given play. As far as the game, taking a sack and completion to Graham were equal. Carr sees the hit from the front coming and clenches up to protect the ball. I don't think he ever saw the guy who leapt and committed a roughing violation. It's really a non issue. Main issue is OMG BLOCK SOMEONE.
They did block though, that's the point some people are making. The other team is composed of professional football players as well. The protection wasn't bad on that particular play and sometimes as a QB you have to give one of your teammates a chance to do something with the football. Graham catches that on the turn before the DB jumps up and he's got a chance to do so, MT could've possibly blocked for him as well in that scenario. Even after the DB jumps the route he breaks down 4-5 yards away from him, he was willing to give up that catch and you gotta just take that and maybe it becomes a 4th down that you can go for or again Graham muscles his way to a first.
Holding onto the ball in that situation was a bad decision. Carr did that at least a few times last week too. That doesn't mean that the o-line is absolved for their poor play just that there are things Carr can correct within his own play also.
