Saints 2025 Free Agents (2 Viewers)

Adebo is probably going to be very cheap to re-sign. He was having a tough year and his injury is pretty serious, the average timetable for his recovery will have him missing camp and multiple games. He will likely be happy just to get a contract offer from anyone. We've seen what he is capable of last season. I don't expect there to be a bidding war for him.

Yep. He should come cheap. And the frustrating thing with him is that he can look great for a large part of the time, including leading the team in interceptions, but this year he got into some bad habits and kept getting PI penalties. Part of it is he likely got that reputation and opposing coaches worked the refs to get those calls due to the reputation, but he needs to play completely clean for awhile until the refs forget his reputation.

I think some of it is that he lacks pure speed to make up distance so he panics and commits PI.

depending on how he's recovered from his injury, Nephi Sewell.
depending on how he plays the rest of this season, Lucas Patrick.
Juwan Johnson if he's willing to take something around the vet minimum

All he has to do is prove the leg healthy and someone will pay him. At least to the tune of what Young got this year.

Can the OP edit this thread to remove Mathieu as he will not be a free agent until after the 2025 season. TIA.

Honey badger is under contract for 25 so he should be off the list

I'd try to keep Harris, Patrick and Landon Young. The rest are below average players that could be replaced at league minimum.

Adebo. He's the best player on that list. Not sure how he will come back or what he will be worth,. I'm not sure I want to keep corners around once they suffer an injury. Harsh, but I've seen it too many times where they just either are not effective again or just not available consistently.

I like the idea of Willie Gay but I don't notice him make many plays.

I’m interested to know what you see in Chase that makes you want to resign him?!?!
He's still learning the system and I know we don't like our DEs getting up field on certain pass rush snaps to break contain. He's gotten more pressure than all the other pass rushers. His sack totals are low but I think he'll get home more as he gets more used to the system. I would love to sign him today at a discount rate and then see him exceed his contract because that would be a boon for the Saints.
