I’m interested to know what you see in Chase that makes you want to resign him?!?!

He was good in the pass rush in the first two games and has struggled in the last 5 particularly in run defense. And he's never good against the run unless it's a chase play where he uses his speed. I think that's because he's really just a situational pass rusher and is most effective when he can just rush the passer with speed and finesse on the edge. In the first two games we had a big lead so teams could not run and he didn't really have to play the run. But in the last 5 games he had to play the run and was not good. I would not sign him to a Granderson deal, but if he came cheapish, I'd sign him as a 3rd down and late game pass rush specialist.

Lots of underperformers on this list, even Willie Gay has been less than advertised, although injuries have a lot to do with it, Chase Young has been meh...

He's still learning the system and I know we don't like our QBs getting up field on certain pass rush snaps to break contain. He's gotten more pressure than all the other pass rushers. His sack totals are low but I think he'll get home more as he gets more used to the system. I would love to sign him today at a discount rate and then see him exceed his contract because that would be a boon for the Saints.

There’s no good excuse as to why he can not get to the QB and take him down. The guy has all of the tools, yet can’t put it all together. We are burning the money we gave him.
