Saints are flying Kafka and Weaver in for 2nd interview (203 Viewers)

They have already checked the Rooney Rule box prior to these interviews. They must have heard something they liked about these two in the first round of interviews
The Rooney Rule to adjusted in 2021. You must interview 2 minority candidates “in person”.

From the NFL Operations Site:

“In 2021, the NFL approved changes requiring every team to interview at least two external minority candidates in person for open head coach and GM positions and at least two external minority candidates — in person or virtual — for a coordinator job

The last two years I only watched the saints games occasionally when I felt like checking in to see how Dennis Allen was making them suck.

Not going to lie, both of these head coaches would just bring on the same mentality. I'll just watch the Saints games when I'm curious how they are bad.
Exactly how I feel. Neither of these hires would excite me. Beat case scenario they flame out, we get top picks over the next 2 years and somehow come away with Arch and Jeremiah Smith for the future.

Ya. At this point if Loomis goes with either of these two, I'll be convinced that Loomis is intentionally tanking the Saints for some reason. Arch, moving the team, selling... idk. Take your pick. But hiring Dennis Allen to become one of the worst teams in the NFL then hiring another coach to be the same... has to be intentional... right?

…or he genuinely thinks these are two good candidates worth another look to make sure he’s turned over every stone.

…or these are Rooney rule check boxes.

Things don’t have to immediately jump to being a conspiracy theory.

The Cowboys in 2005 were only 9-7 and the offense was ranked 15th. You could have said the same thing about Sean Payton.
What’s the Giants record? Cowboys had a winning record not comparable. In addition look at the offensive talent he’s had. Do you promote someone who’s failed that miserably? Is there no one better?
