I would not a call last week a disaster, they lost be a field goal to one of the best Defenses in the AFC. If you watched Baltimore game you'd know that Cook and Shakir got injured and that's why that game was a train-wreck. Buffalo's new offensive identity is running the ball. This prevents Allen from turning it over.Yep and the past two weeks the Bills have been a disaster and Allen has been the conductor on the derailment train.
Unless they are an all time great, a qb needs a legitimate weapon to.win against upper level teams.
Not completing 50 percent of your passes un a two game span is bad, especially for someone who is supposed to be an upper tier qb.I would not a call last week a disaster, they lost be a field goal to one of the best Defenses in the AFC. I would love an Antonio Brown and Carr reunion.I'm calling hooie on that. He played with Carr back in Fresno, and when Carr was traded to the Saints, he said that the reason he went to the Raiders was because he wanted to play with Carr. So that doesn't make sense unless he thinks that maybe Carr will no longer be the starting QB?
If Spencer beats Sean Payton, you will never get that genie back in the bottle.Naw, I think the football Gods love to see SaintsReport in full turmoil, so I fully expect Spencer to start and be 2-0 against TB and Denver. You know, just to send the board into craziness when Carr is set to return
As much as I would like to see Adams in a Saints uniform, I'm hoping he goes to Buffalo. I'm sure the Saints could make it work financially, they always do, but the "kick the can down the road" cost would be high. The games people play
High, as in kiss Kamara goodbye. As much as I would like to see Adams in a Saints uniform, I'm hoping he goes to Buffalo. I'm sure the Saints could make it work financially, they always do, but the "kick the can down the road" cost would be high.
See I don't see SR as having elite arm strength. He has good to very good arm strength. Josh Allen has elite arm strength Herbert has elite arm strength. Arm strength is power. Anthony Richardson has arm strength but not much arm talent. Arm talent is anticipation, accuracy, touch. Brees had arm talent. Also guys with arm strength tend to rely on that strength too much and it causes them to make bad decisions. They think they can fit the ball in anywhere.Of course it's not. But if you have the pocket presence, ability to buy time in the pocket, take rushing yards when they are available, throw from the pocket, read defense, know the offense and defenses inside out, are a team leader, AND you have an elite arm then you can be great. It's not necessary but it's an ability that few other QBs have and would allow him to make some plays that others can't.
And what do you think is the difference between "arm talent" and "arm strength" and why do you think Haner is equal to or better than Rattler in arm talent?
My comment said lately. To me lately is this decade2016: Michael Thomas - Record Shattering All Pro Wide Receiver, career derailed with freak ankle injury.
2017: Marcus Williams - Starting FS, Franchise Tagged, now Starting FS for Ravens.
2018: N/A
2019: Erik McCoy - Pro Bowl Center, signed to extension.
2020: N/A
2021: Pete Werner - Starting Saints Linebacker, signed to extension.
2022: Alontae Taylor - Starting Saints Cornerback still on Rookie contract, obvious candidate for extension, playing at very high level.
2023: Isaiah Foskey - Likely a bust.
2024: Kool-Aid McKinstry - Unknown.
So four out of five are/were legitimate starters, one of whom would be Hall of Fame bound had his ankle not been turned into diced cabbage. One pretty ugly looking bust so far and one unknown rookie who shows starting potential. Is that really a stance you want to take?
LOL The N/A's are in yrs where we draft Ruiz and Davenport. WHY??? So tell me just how much more is a low 2nd say #56 and a higher 3 say 70? 100 points on the draft chart. That's the context my comment about the 2nd and 3rd rd picks I was making , If we've drafted so well in the 1st and 2nd rnds in this decade tell me how many All Pros or even pro bowl players we have gotten in those 1st 2 rnd??Well done, I was going to post something similar but you beat me to it, this guy is like a nonstop nonsensical word salad…..most of what he says has no basis in fact (a 2nd and a 3rd are not that much different? - utter insanity)…..as you point out above in great detail…..
And TBH, the Saints need to draft better, maybe Ireland doesn’t have as much control now with this regime, or his team just isn’t getting it done…..I think that is a big part of the problem and why we don’t have adequate depth….
My comment said LATELY and what's with the N/A's???Pretty solid drafting imo.
Obviously you have not read a lot of the posts in this thread. This is NOT about just this yr. Getting Adans and signing him for another 2-3 yrs is also about getting the most value out of AK, Demario, Taysom, Honey Badger, Lattimore , and Carr , who have maybe 2-3 yrs left. It puts us in contention for the NFCCG, especially with the landscape the NFC is in now .Trading an 3rd to LV for Devante Adams to round out our WR room + signing Devin White for injury depth, should make us a playoff team.
But Is it worth the cost and moving salary cap money deferred another 2-3 years until we finally have some cap space free, in exchange for a likely “Brief” 2025 playoff run ???
There’s always a chance we win it all with 2-3 more players, but it isn’t a likely outcome…
My comment said LATELY and what's with the N/A's???
How many pages are you going to continue this for? Just agree that you and those who disagree with you have different opinions.LOL The N/A's are in yrs where we draft Ruiz and Davenport. WHY???
