Was talking to my friend in VA earlier this evening. She and I are taking the Metro in. Neither one of us have been there before. Any helpful hints about where to meet you good folks for tailgating would be greatly appreciated!

We'll be metro'ing it in as well, from DC. Looking forward to hearing where the tailgate will be at so I can shoot straight there after we hop off the tracks!

keepoursaints - stmdterps and I met you on the Dome concourse last December for the Bucs game. We'll be hitting this one too. Love to hook up if possible.

'Skins fans are for the most part, pretty cool. Not like Philly or Baltimore. Enjoy and hope to see a Saints win!

but as you can read, this is a Saints fan up in the DC area that is a true American hero. We will be making sure to run by his tailgate - not sure where it is yet but I've pm'd him - to meet him and have a cold one with him. I think it'd be great if you all tried to do the same. What an unbelievable story this guy is, can't wait to meet him. Who dat!

Would you guys want to see if he would want to coordinate a big pre-game with all of us? I would definitely be down for bringing a cooler full of beer or whatever else is needed. In this thread we have been looking to coordinate a pre-game, I think this would be a perfect opportunity.

You locals have to get something going as us out of towners down know where anything is, but we'll definitely come by.

If you need any help let me know and I'll do all that I can from here. I am flying to meet BDM in Norfolk on Sat and and flying back home on Tuesday. We're making the drive early early Sunday I think and then crashing in Georgetown Sunday night.

We gotta get something going for this.. I'll have my camera and will take lots of pics for the site.

I spoke with Michael this afternoon and he's going to holler at me next week once they get their plans straight. They are going to drive in early Sun morning and tailgate out of his boys truck - just as good a spot as any. If I understand correctly, its pretty wide open parking around the stadium, so that should make it easier to find a group with a decent amount of directions. He said something about the possibility of knowing where the truck will be the day before - if I heard that right - regardless, we need to keep this thread updated up until Sun morning of the game. I'd be happy to pm any/all of you my cell so we can stay in contact over the weekend. We leave on Thurs, so my sr checking/posting will be sporadic after that. Man, I'm looking forward to this trip!

I meant that, as opposed the Dome or a stadium in a downtown area, there is plenty of parking lots and it should be easier to find groups of tailgaters easier than you would be able to at the Dome with the various buildings, parking garages and lots off of Poydras, Claiborne, etc. I could be wrong, but it looks like its a more wide open area outside of that stadium which would seem to make it easier to maneuver and find people. I could be wrong though.

Im loving it that there will by the look of things alot of saints fans going to DC...im going down there from New Jersey, leaving sat....hope to see u all there...if there is a tailgate party before or after, please let me know...im definitely there!!
